At Qiskit Fall Fest 2025 (uOttawa), we are committed to providing a welcoming, inclusive, and safe environment for everyone—regardless of background, identity, or experience level.

We expect all participants, organizers, speakers, mentors, sponsors, and volunteers to follow this Code of Conduct throughout the event, both online and in person.

Expected Behavior

Be respectful and considerate in all interactions.
Actively support and encourage new learners.
Provide constructive feedback and mentorship.
Follow all event rules, university guidelines, and IBM Quantum community standards.
Report any issues to the organizing team immediately.

Unacceptable Behavior

Harassment, discrimination, or intimidation in any form will not be tolerated. This includes offensive comments, imagery, or behaviour related to gender, sexuality, race, religion, disability, or other personal characteristics; disruption of talks, workshops, or hackathon activities; plagiarism or misrepresentation of others’ work; or any violation of university or IBM policies.

Reporting

If you experience or witness unacceptable behavior:

Contact an organizer directly (on site, or on our Discord – Fall Fest 2025 server).
Speak to a university representative (student affairs or faculty contact).
Email the IBM Qiskit team at quantum.events@us.ibm.com.

All reports will be handled discreetly and respectfully.

Report an issue

Consequences

Assess: Organizers review facts and prioritize safety.
Action: May include a verbal/written warning, removal from the event without refund or prize eligibility, and/or notification to university or IBM representatives.
Follow-up: We document incidents and communicate outcomes as appropriate.
