At Qiskit Fall Fest 2025 (uOttawa), we are committed to providing a welcoming, inclusive, and safe environment for everyone—regardless of background, identity, or experience level.

We expect all participants, organizers, speakers, mentors, sponsors, and volunteers to follow this Code of Conduct throughout the event, both online and in person.

Expected Behavior

Unacceptable Behavior

Harassment, discrimination, or intimidation in any form will not be tolerated. This includes offensive comments, imagery, or behaviour related to gender, sexuality, race, religion, disability, or other personal characteristics; disruption of talks, workshops, or hackathon activities; plagiarism or misrepresentation of others’ work; or any violation of university or IBM policies.

Reporting

If you experience or witness unacceptable behavior:

All reports will be handled discreetly and respectfully.

Consequences

  1. Assess: Organizers review facts and prioritize safety.
  2. Action: May include a verbal/written warning, removal from the event without refund or prize eligibility, and/or notification to university or IBM representatives.
  3. Follow-up: We document incidents and communicate outcomes as appropriate.
